چکیده
Abstract In computational flow analysis with moving solid surfaces and contact between the surfaces, it is a challenge to represent boundary layers an accuracy attributed moving-mesh methods without leaving mesh protection gap. The space-time topology change (ST-TC) method, introduced in 2013, makes computation possible even when we have or other kinds of flow-domain TC. represented giving up on high-resolution representation near surfaces. With ST-TC ST before after, has been address many challenges encountered conducting this class presence additional complexities such as geometric complexity, rotation deformation multiscale nature flow. first part two-part article, provide overview that made all possible. We also computations performed for tire aerodynamics include complexity near-actual geometry grooves, road contact, rotation, roughness fluid films.

Numerical Computation of Rolling Resistance Based on the Result of Tire/Road Static Contact Analysis
Among various dissipating mechanisms, the viscoelastic effect of rubber material on creation of rolling resistance is responsible for 10-33% dissipation of supplied power at the tire/road interaction surface. So, evaluating this kind of loss is very essential in any analysis concerned with improving the fuel consumption of vehicles and resultantly energy savage. Hysteretic loss is a fraction of...

متن کاملTire/Road Contact Condition Identification Using Algebraic Numerical Differentiation
In this paper, a realistic simulation model for Wheeled Mobile Robot (WMR) is given by a dynamical system that switches between three models corresponding to three different tire/road contact conditions: ideal condition, skidding condition and slipping condition. Then, an algebraic based numerical identification for the discrete state (tire/road contact condition) of this switching system is pr...
متن کاملAnalytical Investigation of Tire-Road Contact Characteristics for Wheelchair Robots Safely Running
To effectively improve the tire grounding behaviors of wheelchair robots, an analytical method is proposed to analyze and optimize the tire grounding safety. Firstly, taking the cushion and tires as the vibration isolation elements with stiffness and damping, the vertical vibration model of the human-wheelchair robot is established. Then, taking the random excitation as the typical input, the f...
متن کاملA Fast Method for Computing Convolutions with Structural Green’s Function : Application to Tire/road Contact Problems
Abstract. Tire/road contact represents the major source of traffic noise with driving speed above 50 km/h. One of the most important problems is to take into account the contact conditions and to calculate the contact forces in an accurate way. As a general approach, the dynamic response of the tire is calculated by convolving the contact forces with the Green function of the tire. The disadvan...
